Backpacks for Children

@CrestSavings Bank was proud to support the St. Barnabas by the Bay Episcopal Church “Backpack Blessing” Initiative taking place in Lower Township as part of our 100 Days of Giving. What began at Lower Township Elementary has blossomed into a larger community effort where various local organizations (religious as well as non-religious) provide food and backpacks so that children who attend Maud and Memorial (up to 4th grade) have nourishment on the weekends. The program is geared towards children who are living in poverty and/or at risk for living in poverty. Food is placed into backpacks and given to children on Friday, so they have something to eat on the weekends. This event is on Saturday August 17th when the backpacks are distributed at church to the children and the Priest provides each child with their special “Backpack Blessing.” At Crest Savings Bank we can make a difference in our community and it begins with caring for the children. #CrestSavings100
